What can primary care professionals do to help ‘contain & control’ antibiotic resistance in the UK?
Our next meeting will focus on the role of primary care professionals in meeting the challenges posed by antimicrobial resistance (AMR), generally – and the UK’s AMR National Action Plan’s target of reducing antibiotic prescriptions by 15%, specifically.
Given that 80% of antibiotics are prescribed in primary care settings, this is an opportunity to quiz GPs, pharmacists, and dentists, about the risks and opportunities they face in helping to overcome the many complex challenges posed by AMR.
This event will be staged in collaboration with the APPGs on Antibiotics, Pharmacy, and Dentistry/Oral Health. It will take place in Committee Room 9 of the House of Commons on Monday April 29, 2019, from 15:00 to 17:00.
