Joint APPG letter to the Prime Minister on the G7 and aid cuts
The APPG on Antibiotics has joined 11 other APPGs to write a letter to the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, ahead of the G7 Leaders’ Summit, to highlight the need for UK leadership to ensure a bold and ambitious policy agenda that puts people and planet at the centre of the world’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through this Summit, the UK has the opportunity to show leadership. It has the opportunity to invest in key areas and to rethink our decision to reduce the aid budget. We are in the unique position to deliver substantial change for all and prove we can lead on the global stage. Therefore, we have called upon the Prime Minister to make sure the UK makes its own significant contribution to the collective global action that now, more than ever, needs to be shown to ensure we build back better and create a healthy, sustainable future for generations to come.
